Set the tone for a successful business function at Gateway Hotel and Conference Center at Iowa State University. With 17,400 square feet of adaptable space, we offer the largest conference facility in Ames, Iowa.
Organize a theater-style conference for up to 850 guests in the Prairie Room, which can also be divided into smaller spaces for breakout meetings. The Ada Hayden and George Washington Carver venues are tailor-made for seminars, training sessions and other small events. We also offer picturesque outdoor spaces for corporate cocktail functions and pre-meeting gatherings.
All of our venues showcase cutting-edge, recently updated audiovisual equipment including a full HDMI wireless presentation system and digitally encrypted wireless microphones. Harvest Room
Meeting space located just down the hall from The IowaStater Restaurant.
Prairie Rooms
The Prairie Rooms offer a combination of three ballrooms which can be opened up into one large convention hall with capacity up to 750.
Meadow Rooms
The Meadow Room is a combination of two multipurpose meeting spaces. They are perfect as break-out rooms or can be opened up to create a large space for a company party or reception dinner.
Garden Room
The Garden Room is one of our most popular spaces due to its unique location and its connection to our Garden Waterfall Patio.
Cardinal & Gold Rooms
The Cardinal & Gold Rooms are our newest addition to the hotel, added in 2017, with a total area of 1400 square feet.
Conference Room 1
Conference Room 1 is one of our smallest meeting rooms commonly used for up to 12 person meetings.
Ada Hayden Conference Room
The Ada Hayden Conference Room is a 400 square foot conference room that is typically used as a prep room for weddings or coupled with Carver Board Room to host lunch.
George Washington Carver Board Room
The Carver Board Room is perfect for a small training session or seminar, and when coupled with Ada Hayden can accommodate a nice company lunch as well.
