Late check‑out beyond one hour past the scheduled time incurs a $25 fee.
Standard Cancellation Policy
Cancellations must be made by 5:00 PM one day prior to arrival.
Cancellations made within 24 hours of the arrival date and time may incur a fee up to the full amount of room and tax.
This policy does not apply during ISU home football weekends or ISU graduation weekends.
Policies are subject to change at the discretion of Gateway Hotel, such as but not limited to concerts or city-wide events.
For Friday and Saturday night stays during ISU home football weekends:
- Cancellations are permitted up to 3 weeks prior to arrival with no penalty.
- An advance deposit for the full amount of room and tax is required on the Friday three weeks before arrival.
- No changes or cancellations are allowed within the 3‑week window.
- If the deposit cannot be processed, the reservation may be forfeited.
- ISU vs. Iowa home game weekends are prepay only and non‑refundable.

Will there be a hold on my card?
Yes. A preauthorization for the room amount is placed on the card at check‑in.
For reservations booked through third‑party sites, the card on file is not preauthorized and will only be charged for incidentals (e.g., restaurant charges or items from the One Stop Shop).
Yes. Cash payments are accepted; however, a $250 refundable deposit is required until check‑out.
We offer a pool, sauna, hot tub, and fitness center. These facilities are for registered guests only.
- Pool access is limited to two additional guests per registered guest.
- Food and glass containers are not permitted in the pool area.
- The pool area is not available for private parties.
We welcome pets.
- A signed pet addendum is required at check in.
- The fee is $50 per week for up to two pets.
- A maximum of four pets per room is allowed.
