Learn the measures being taken to ensure a healthy stay for you and your guests.

Public Areas, Signage, & Enhanced Cleaning

As guests go through the public areas of the hotel, they will see seating that is allowing for social distancing. They will also notice frequent cleanings of the public areas by our team members. Signs and posters encouraging social distancing will be seen throughout the areas explaining the Gateway HealthySafe Program.

Elevators

When guests approach our elevators, they will notice hand sanitizer stations along with signage to practice social distancing. For the safety of our guests and staff, we require the maximum occupancy per elevator car to be limited to 2 people. If you are traveling with a family, these rules do not apply. Our team will be frequenting the elevators to wipe down buttons, railings, and other areas that could be exposed.

Gateway Hospitality

Throughout the hotel, guests will encounter our team members greeting them while still adhering to social distancing guidelines outlined internally. They will also be wearing masks and gloves which will be changed frequently.

HealthyStay Seal

As guests walk to their room, they will see a seal on the door placed there by the housekeeping team member who deep cleaned the room with extensive cleaning solutions. The seal shows that after the deep clean, no other guest or team member has been in the room.

Extensively Cleaned Guest Room

Guests will immediately see the tops of the beds that are now being washed after every stay. They will also notice that directories, books, magazines, water bottles, and pens have been removed. These printed materials are available per request. All high tough areas in the guest room have been deep cleaned. From the TV remote, to hangers, switches, lamps, A/C units, team members spent extra time to ensure each room has been cleaned to the highest standards of cleanliness.

IowaStater Restaurant

For meals and drinks in the IowaStater Restaurant, guests will notice seating re-arranged to practice social distancing. Menus that you recieve will be extensively cleaned and sanitized before being used again. Team members will also be making sure to disinfect and sanitize all tables and chairs after each use. If guests choose to order room service, they will experience contactless delivery. This means team members will place the meals and one-time use silverware outside of the door.

Fitness Center & Pool

When guests choose to go to the fitness center/pool, they will notice equipment that has been arranged to allow for social distancing and also increased availability of disinfectant wipes. The fitness center will require reservations to be made at the Front Desk for 30 minute segments. After each 30 minutes, a team member will go in to disinfect and sanitize the areas.

Contactless Check-Out

When it is time to check-out, guests are encouraged to use the phone check-out system in each guest room. Guests will simply follow the prompts on the phone and they will be able to check-out without having to go to the Front Desk. There are also ReCYcle key drop stands located near the exit for you to safely drop your keys inside.
