Interstate 35 to the Gateway Hotel & Conference Center
From I-35, Exit 111 B (U.S. 30). Four miles west to Exit 146. South on Elwood Drive. West on Green Hills Drive.
Des Moines Aiport to Ames
Turn right onto Fleur Drive/85th Ave. for 1.5 miles. Turn right onto IA-5 South/US 65 North. Continue on US 65 N for 17 miles. Take the I-80 West exit (left lane- Exit 84, Council Bluffs). Continue on I-80 W for 3.5 miles. Turn north onto I-35 North (right lane- Exit 138B, Minneapolis). Continue on I-35 N for 24 miles. Turn right on US 30 West (right lane- Exit 111B). Continue on US 30 W for 4 miles. Exit to Elwood Drive (Exit 146). At stop sign turn left onto Elwood Drive (going under the overpass), follow Elwood Drive for approximately 1 block. Turn right onto Green Hills Drive.
Ames to Des Moines Airport
Turn left onto Elwood Drive. Merge right onto US 30 East. Continue on US 30 E for 4 miles. Take the I-35 South (right lane- Exit 151A). Continue on I-35 S for 24 miles. Turn right on I-80 East (second right, Davenport). Continue on I-80 E for 3.5 miles. Turn south onto US 65 South (right lane, Exit 141). Continue on US 65 South/IA-5 North for 17 miles. Turn north on 85th Ave/Fleur Drive (right lane- Exit 97) Continue north on 85th Ave/Fleur Drive for 1.5 miles. Turn left on Cowles Drive-Airport Terminal.
