Job Descriptions
HOUSEKEEPER
Housekeepers will be responsible for ensuring all Gateway Center Core Promises are met through friendly Platinum service, knowledge of the facility, and knowledge of Housekeeping procedures. Housekeepers will have timely responses to guest’s comments, concerns and requests. In addition, Housekeepers will use good communication and teamwork with the Gateway Hotel staff. The Housekeepers will be responsible for properly cleaning all guest rooms, bathrooms, hallways, and will assist with laundry. Other duties include, but are not limited to, helping other departments, cleaning glass, and cleaning some public areas. Weekend availability is required.
Front desk supervisor
Front Desk Supervisors will be a leader in Platinum Service and teamwork. They are accountable for what happens at the Front Desk during their shift and for covering shifts as needed in a Guest Service Representative's absence. As manager on duty, they will take charge when needed and will resolve issues in a timely and appropriate manner. Front Desk Supervisors will also assist with Front Desk staff issues and are accountable for new hire training, as well as, setting standards for guest satisfaction (including on-going training).They are responsible for tracking inventory of supplies and informing the Front Office Manager when orders need to be placed. Their responsibility also includes ensuring the checklists and deliveries are completed daily along with actively participating in a team oriented hotel.
Guest service Representative
Guest Services Representatives are responsible for Front Desk duties including checking guests in and out of their rooms. They must ensure that day to day operations at the front desk are met through friendly Platinum Service and knowledge of the facility. Guest Services Representatives must have timely responses to guests' comments, concerns, and requests. Guest Service Representatives must also practice good communication and teamwork at the Front Desk, as well as throughout the rest of the Gateway Hotel and Conference Center.
SET-UP
The Conference Services set-up staff is responsible for ensuring day to day operations of all events are met through friendly Platinum Service and knowledge of the facility. Conference Services set-up staff must have timely responses to guests' comments, concerns, and requests. In addition, the set-up staff is responsible for the set-up and clean-up of all conference service space including, but not limited to, conference rooms and banquet halls. They are also accountable for placing food and beverages on buffet and break tables. The set-up staff must also practice good communication and teamwork through the Conference Services department and the rest of the Gateway Hotel and Conference Center.
bartender
The Conference Services bartenders must meet and exceed Gateway Hotel and Conference Center standards and expectations as well as those of the guests' through Platinum Service and knowledge of the facility. Bartenders are responsible for timely responses to the guests' comments, concerns, and requests. In addition, bartenders are in charge of setting up portable bars in conference rooms and banquet halls. The bartenders are accountable for serving guest professionally, responsibly, and efficiently as well as being knowledgeable of drinks requested by Gateway Hotel and Conference Center clientele. The bartending staff must also practice good communication and teamwork through the Conference Services department and the rest of the Gateway Hotel and Conference Center.
Server
The Conference Services servers will meet and exceed Gateway Hotel and Conference Center standards and expectations as well as those of the guests’ through friendly Platinum service and knowledge of the facility. Conference Services servers will have timely responses to the guests’ comments, concerns, and requests. In addition, the service staff will be responsible for setting and clearing table tops for all events with place settings, centerpieces, and miscellaneous items. The Servers are accountable for serving all courses to guests and taking drink orders professionally, responsibly, and efficiently. The service staff will use good communication and teamwork through the Conference Services department and rest of the Gateway Hotel and Conference Center.
line cook
Line cooks are responsible for food preparation and production one the Audubon's Restaurant line. They help support effective food costs, waste controls, and product yield. Line cooks also maintain equipment and food service standards. They must adhere to sanitation standards as outlined by public health departments, as well as efficiently complete duties as assigned by the Executive Chef. In addition, they are accountable for presenting a professional outward appearance, communicating professionally and clearly, and cooperating with all departments within the hotel.
